December 2020

From the notes of Ed and Gerry…

Dear friends and family,

We like to think of the word HOPE. Many things have been stripped away this year but our ultimate HOPE is in a baby that came one night, the birth that we are celebrating this month. How wonderful to celebrate the birth of one that has come for all men….the Lord Jesus Christ.

ATUALIDADES* from the Fosters: Merry Christmas!

December 17, 2020

Dear Friends & Family,

Last year about this time, I wrote: “2019 has been an exciting year for our family/ministry, and the Lord has taught us many things, proving over and over again his love and faithfulness!” The word “exciting” just doesn’t seem appropriate to describe 2020!* Nevertheless, we can still say “the Lord has taught us many things, proving…his love and faithfulness.” Like you, we are especially delighted to now focus on family and the birth of our Savior. We pray that you, too, will have a very Blessed Christmas!!

*2020 is quickly coming to an end. The pandemic caused things that we still don’t understand; we faced challenges, a few of which we have not yet overcome; we made unprecedented adaptations, opening doors for EE-Brazil that we never imagined; and certainly there were victories that we haven’t yet recognized!

Adams Christmas Newsletter 2020

December 10, 2020

Love in Christ,
Don and Carol Adams

Greetings from East Tennessee! What a year we have had! It started with a five bypass heart surgery for Don in January, only to to get home from the hospital to see that COVID had developed in our country and was spreading rapidly! As everywhere, ministry has slowed greatly, but has not ceased. RidgeCrest Bible Church has continued to meet with everyone wearing masks on Sunday mornings and prayer meetings on some Wednesdays. We continue to help with support for 7 missionaries who visit the church as they can. We were able to have 2 Bible Schools, instead of our usual 6, this summer. Hopefully, in 2021 we can return to the schools and nursing homes, as well as all our summer children’s ministries.

Opening Up With Covid-19!!!

Even though we had a covid compliant camp in August, we did all of our activities with the youth virtually. So, September was when we were given the clearance to meet in person. On September 6, our youth minister, Nate Michel, was ordained. It was a great way to kick off the school year.

We hope you have seen a glimpse of God at work this past year. Ministry has adapted and changed a lot this year- but continues and grows! Update from Nuno and Gila

Dear praying friends,

How are you doing?
We are well, by God’s grace. Challenges continue, but so does the Father’s faithfulness. The restrictions due to the virus have pushed us to have our meetings only through Zoom. We are grateful for technology and that almost every person in our community is able to connect. Please pray that in these difficult times people draw near to the Father.

Greetings to you in the most precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through this catalog you will connect with children and men and women who need the Lord. I pray you will experience His loving peace and joy in your family as never before. Read about different ways you can be part of their lives. The gifts you provide change their living situations while at the same time communicating Christ’s love in a tangible way. I have seen many changes as a result of giving. God has allowed our native team to be your representatives and see firsthand HIS LOVE at work. May we never tire of the good work the Lord has given us to do as well as keep our eyes on Jesus.
