Ministry News of Curtis and Rachel Rhoadarmer
Please pray!
Tonight Rachel will begin Biblical Counseling with a 17year old girl and her mother. The 17 year old has been battling depression and suicidal thoughts for awhile. They’ve tried a christian counselor, medication, but nothing seems to be helping. Please pray that as we meet together for the first time she’ll be open to what God’s word has to say about her situation. Pray specifically for Rachel that she will have a message of hope and begin to build a relationship of trust and friendship with both young lady and mom.
We have had 3 other counseling cases over the past couple of months. There is so much need and we are privileged to walk alongside others when they are struggling.
Fall Ministry Praises
We had 26 ladies total signed up for our Fall Ladies Bible Study. It was a great time. Rachel taught each lesson and we had table leaders who helped lead discussion and prayer. One lady who hasn’t been regularly attending church anywhere was invited by one of our Deacon wives. She has been regularly attending New Hope for the past 6 weeks. Three of the ladies who attended are now attending a membership class at church. God did great things in that study!
We had our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat on Nov. 3rd during our regular Awana & Youth Group time. It was such a great time and we have several families from our community take part in it.
New Hope Baptist Church, where Curtis serves as Senior Pastor, has been without an Associate/Youth Pastor since March. We have had many candidate interviews- but nothing has come of them. BUT- we currently have 2 fantastic candidates who will be meeting with the search committee in the next couple of weeks. Please be praying for great wisdom as we move forward. We have been encouraged by the people in our church to step up in a number of ways to serve so that we are not overburdened by the sheer amount of work that needs to be done- but we are also very excited about the possibility of adding some help to the ministry team.
