Missions trip to Northern Portugal
Rachel and our daughter Hannah will head to Northern Portugal next month for a 2-week mission trip. Hannah has been thinking about going into missions since 2019, and last summer she had the opportunity to travel to Antigua and Barbuda on a 2-week mission trip. This summer, we are hoping to expand her vision for missions by helping Greg and Jennifer Weaver, Be One Together missionaries in Portugal. We will be helping with a women’s ministry retreat, visiting a coffee shop ministry to see how business missions models work, among other things. Each of them will need to raise $3500 to cover the costs of this trip.
Hannah has joined Be One Together for this summer of ministry. She will also be traveling to Garland, Utah, for a week to help Grace Bible Church with their Vacation Bible School. Grace is where Rachel’s brother-in-law, Jaramie, pastors. Hannah is excited to help in the ministry there. Back at home, in Indiana, Hannah will help Rachel lead a 5-day Kids Bible Club and disciple a teenage friend whom she recently led to the Lord. She’s been asked to raise a total of $7,000 to cover all the travel and ministry expenses of both trips, as well as her salary.

Curtis leading “Are you smarter than a Clubber?” at Awana. The Clubbers beat the Adults 44-41. It’s one of the fun end of year activities where the kids get to show off all they’ve learned this past year.
Spring Ministry
- This spring, we have had a busy counseling season. Curtis and Rachel have counseled 3 couples this spring in pre-marital/marital counseling. Curtis has been meeting with a gentleman regularly for counseling and Rachel has been counseling/discipling 4 different women.
- Rachel is also leading a 5-week women’s Bible study through the book of Philippians. There are 15 who have attended. Last week, we had a visitor attend for the first time. We also had a visitor at church yesterday who wants to come as well. Be praying for Rachel as she leads and the women who attend, especially the two new ladies.
- Rachel also wrote and submitted a book proposal for a 31-day devotional for teens on Emotions. Please be praying for the team at P&R Publishing who looks over the proposal and makes the decisions concerning this book.
