Hello Everyone,
I want to keep this short today. It is 1:20 am and tomorrow (today) we begin the moving process. First of all, praise God for all of the answered prayers, amazing friends, and smooth transition thus far. It has not been easy, but God has sustained us and brought together so many pieces. We had the most amazing send-off (Abschied) from our church family and friends here in Weimar. I cannot possibly mention every amazing farewell, blessing, and well wish. God has also helped us nearly achieve our goal for initial monthly donations. Thank you to everyone who has already said, “Yes we believe in what God is doing through you, and at Black Forest Academy, and we want to be part of your monthly financial support team.” So as you pray for us here are some specific prayer requests and our timeline.
1. Pray that we would be patient and gracious towards each other.
2. Pray that we would be sensitive towards the emotions of our kids.
3. Pray that we say farewell well.
4. Pray that we are able to accomplish all the little details still looming.
Here is our itinerary so you can specifically be praying for different legs of the journey. (All times are for Germany, in Oregon, just subtract 9 hours)
July 26:
8 am the moving truck arrives.
9 am to noon pack the moving truck
1 pm until finished clean the apartment and pack luggage for the USA
July 27:
7:30 am, turn in keys to owner and check out of the apartment
8 am drive to Mainz (near Frankfurt)
12 noon get keys for storage room and unload moving truck contents into a storage room
2 pm pick up the rental car
Sleep in Idstein at the Shackelford’s
July 29:
2:25 pm Flight leaves Frankfurt for Seattle
4:10 pm (Oregon time) arrive in Seattle
6:30 pm (Oregon time) flight leaves Seattle
7:24 pm (Oregon time) arrive in Oregon
