We are grateful for the many ways you pray and partner with our family and the ministry in Portugal & Beyond.
Here are a few updates from this season.
Makayla
Exploring the Next Step
This summer our oldest daughter Makayla will be serving on a mission trip to the Middle East (May 29 – June 6) with a team supporting a growing house church movement among an unreached population that is about 98% Muslim.
The team will come alongside local partners through children’s ministry and community outreach, building relationships and encouraging the local church. Makayla, at this time, also has the opportunity to stay an additional month to learn from local believers and experience what living missionally looks like day to day.
- Fielder Church is keeping up to date for any needed shifts due to the current events.
If you would like to pray for Makayla or support her trip, you can learn more here:

In April, she is also prayerfully considering a short vision trip to Germany to serve with the Walnut Tree Oasis, a ministry that supports missionary families, as she continues discerning how God may lead her after finishing her degree next year.

Prayer Request: Ukraine Trip (March 20–27)
Greg will travel with two TeamWorks colleagues to Ukraine to encourage ministry leaders serving in the midst of the war.
Please pray for:
• Safe travel in and out of Ukraine
• Clear translation of the training
• Encouragement and renewal for weary leaders
• That the Lord would strengthen those continuing to serve faithfully

Portugal: House Church
Our house church discipleship group has been slowly walking through the Gospel of Matthew together, asking honest questions and learning what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Please pray:
- that these gatherings would continue to deepen faith, friendship, and obedience to Christ.
- the Hodge family as they are doing their mandatory 6 month United States furlough. They will be based in Florida till July. They are the founders of House Church Vila do Conde.
