Fernandes – Cartaxo November 2020

In Him and for Him,
Isabel Fernandes
Portugal

Ever since I found salvation, I have understood how urgent and important it is to preach the Gospel. In my innocence I believed that people would easily believe in an enthusiastic way. Throughout my walk, the Lord has showed me that things are not like that, for many have rejected and don’t even want to listen about our faith. Something interesting has started to happen in my walk of faith. The Lord has started to bring to my path people who are already near the end of their lives. Whether it be in hospitals, in nursing homes, churches or someone’s house, I had the joy of being used to save people for Jesus, whether they might be children, adults or elderly ones.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We know that 2020 has been a difficult year and holiday celebrations may be looking a little different for a lot of us. We hope that you are still able to find something to be thankful for this year, not least of which is Jesus, who remains good despite the chaos we may encounter in our lives. We are so thankful for the hope that we have in Him. Read more

Happy Thanksgiving to Team Shackelford

November 30, 2020

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you!

Out of all 365 days each year…with the exception of a few years, we stop today to be thankful. In my sermon last Sunday, I challenged the RMC body to be thankful everyday. Not just on one day, but ALL days. Read more

November 2020

From the notes of Ed and Gerry…
This definitely is a different year. Nonetheless there are opportunities. We are amazed at the seeming abrupt closing down of some ministry opportunities…perhaps temporarily, but we just don’t know. On the other hand the opening of others.

We have found that we have needed mega doses of God’s Word during this time. As we have had more uninterrupted time to spend in His Word it has been made possible. This is always a blessing!

Dear praying friends,

Hope you are all doing well.

We started our study on 1st Corinthians. There is Rita illustrating a part of Benni ́s teaching on an overview of this letter. Pray for Rita as she working from home at the moment. Pray the Lord strengthens her and guides her in the decisions she needs to take regarding her future. Pray His will be done in Rita’s life!

SMOKE CLOUDS LINCOLN CITY FOR A WEEK

While we were forced out of our home for a week, staying with our daughter and her family in Sherwood, others also had to leave their homes amid threats of fire. Although our building was used by some as a safe place to stay, we held no church on September 13th. We have now resumed, although some parts of our congregation still stay away because of the coronavirus. We appreciate your prayers through this pandemic, and we thank God for His protection.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24

Together We Rise!

This year Rachel helped plan the Pregnancy Help Center of Grant County’s Annual Fundraising Banquet. Due to Covid-19 we changed it up and had a virtual banquet. We had people attend live, others attend church watch parties, while others watched virtually from their home computer screens. There were safety benefits from doing it this way of course, but one of the side benefits is that we can invite you to attend too! To get a better picture of the ministry Rachel is involved in, and to hear a phenomenal speaker, Mike Spencer with Project Life Voice, we’d encourage you to watch.

Update from Nuno and Gila
Portugal

Dear praying friends,

How are you all doing?

Life here is going on as the Father leads. On Sundays some people like to come and gather in person at our home, others prefer connecting through Zoom. We have His peace as we keep doing what He called us to do and these are perfect times to live out the truths of His word! Our hearts ache for those who walked way, and this was something the Lord brought to our minds as we entered a season of fasting and prayer. So join us praying for these brothers and sisters, that the enemy doesn’t steal the seed planted and that the Holy Spirit draws them back to the Father: Duarte, Sãozinha, Anselmo, Assunção, Rúben, Sandra, Mafalda.
