I love this time of year in Indiana. The sun is shining and brings warmth. The first flower in my beds that bloom are the crocus. Little purple flowers that bloom when the grass is mostly brown and the trees are still bare. These little flowers pop their heads out of the ground and offer a message of spring time hope. New life is coming! These little flowers remind me that I should live my life with such expectation. Waiting for God to bring change- and new life.
We have a number of spring ministry opportunities needing prayer.
1. AWANA– we are in the final stretch of our school year. We’ve had a good group of kids regularly attending- with alot of students who will be moving on to youth group this next year. Please pray that we can finish out strong and that our volunteers especially would have the energy needed to keep up with the kiddos God has given us to work with.
2. Rachel and Hannah will be attending a Spring Ladies Retreat in April at Twin Lakes Camp with a group of ladies from New Hope.
3. Biblical Counseling– Rachel is currently counseling 2 adult women and a teenager. One of these women is walking in some self-destructive patterns and could really use your prayers. Counseling gives us great opportunity to speak truth into people lives in specific ways and we are always encouraged by the change we see over the course of the months we work with them. Curtis is counseling 2 different men- one of these cases starts this week and is a man from our country who isn’t regularly attending church. The other man is a believer- but pretty new to his faith.
4. Noah and Hannah continue to help lead “Decision Point” which is a student led Bible Study on Tuesday Mornings at Eastbrook High School.
Some fun opportunities from our winter ministry:
- Curtis spoke at a Father/Daughter Banquet in early March for a church on the other side of our county. It was a great time and he was able to challenge Father’s on how to love God and lead their families well. (see the photo above)
- Curtis wrapped up his men’s study on True Spirituality: becoming a Romans 12 Christian by Chip Ingram.
- Rachel and Noah were able to attend Faith Biblical Counseling Conference in Feb. Noah attended Track 1 Biblical Counseling Fundamentals and Rachel attended the Track 6- the Women’s Track. It was a great full week of learning!
Noah and Rachel went to California in February for a college visit to The Master’s University (TMU) in Santa Clarita. Noah is planning on attending there this fall and double majoring in Pure Mathematics and Bible & Theology. Please pray that God would continue to provide all the needed finances to make this possible.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support!
We could not do this ministry without our team members!
