Olá amigos e família!

The last few months have been so busy and full! We are excited to share all that the Lord is doing here in VIla do Conde!

Together with our friends, the Khans who are also missionaries here we have successfully launched a community cafe in the heart of the old town. It has been a lot of work and time but we feel it is a such a labor of love!

We see the space already being used for ministry, connection and a place where we can show the love of Christ to others!

The Lord has brought people from all walks of life through our doors and everyday we meet new people!

Working together has been such a joy! We love to invite people into a. space where we can love on them and create real relationships ♥️

Teaming up with the Khans we are praying through decisions and for each other. We’re really thankful for our little team and ask you to pray for us as we navigate family, business and church life. That the Lord would always guide us ♥️

The space holds up to almost 60 people. Some days we are full with people of all ages, from kids to grandparents and dogs and cats too! Next door there’s even a parrot who randomly yells “agua!”

From the beginning we prayed over the space that it would be a place where people would really feel the peace and presence of Jesus. Almost every day we are told they feel like there’s something different at humble anchor. We are so blown away at how the Lord brings people into this place, sometimes unbelievers looking for a place of rest, sometimes other believers that we didn’t even know lived in the area.

Prayer Items

For our team as we navigate a very busy time. We are open 7 days a week and are much busier than we initially thought we would be.
Please pray we find the right people to hire and that we continue to serve our community well!
For hearts to be open to the gospel and to the idea of a living and active God! In an area so steeped in religion the idea of grace and mercy from a loving and personal God is so foreign for most. Our heart is display the love of Christ to all who walk through our doors.
For discernment in all the little and big decisions that go into running a business, we want to continue to be sustainable as we grow and to keep Christ at the center of all we do.
For our family and church life that we have time and place for all the people in our lives that matter the most!
