Transitions in Ministry

When a missionary is assigned to serve on a field, we somehow imagine that is where they will be for the term of service. Sometimes that is true and it is also true; God redirects missionaries either in location or type of ministry.

Over the past year we have seen several transitions take place in the mission:

  • Greg and Jen Weaver transitioned from Surf Church, Portugal, to a house fellowship among unbelievers and to an international team of coaches and mentors for others in ministry.
  • Kevin and Angela Janzen opened a coffee hospitality ministry in Portugal.
  • K transitioned to chief of his village while continuing to pastor in Sierra Leone.
  • Eric and Peggy Von Raeder transitioned from Nepal to church pastor in California.
  • The mission has missionaries safely serving in undisclosed ministries — a transition for the mission.
  • Jeff and Julie Shackelford transitioned a home fellowship to meet in a remodeled pole barn and gather together
  • Perry and Sandy Rotenberger added Mission Liaison to their ministry responsibilities.
