Meet Zohary

Zohary (zo-ah-dee) is two years old and the daughter of a couple from the church we attended while we lived in La Vega. She is very observant, happy and smart, and she loves to dance! I wish I could send you just one of the many videos I have of Zohary dancing. She is so cute and makes me laugh!
Zohary loves the beach, animals, and being with her family. Her favorite food is pizza, her favorite song is La Vaca Lola (Lola the Cow) and her favorite doll is Lulu Pampim.

Become a monthly supporter.

Zohary is the “mimi-me” of her dad, Juan, who was single when we first attended church with him in La Vega eight years ago. He has always called Ben his “favorite gringo.” Juan is a salesman.

Zohary and her mom, Arismely. Jolie (my oldest daughter) and I used to be part of an exercise group with Arismely, so it brings me joy to now be able to help her in this way: supporting a daycare that is a wonderful place for her to leave Zohary while she goes to work.

Here Zohary is working on her Valentine for her mom and dad.

I just love Zohary! Thank you so much for reading about her, and please pray for her and consider giving to help support her. It costs us about $150 each month to care for each child; her parents pay the equivalent of about $50 every month, so they are doing what they can.

I haven’t gotten any response to my “Special Request” email, so I’m not sure if the dessert idea is going to be a success. Please let me know if you are interested/willing to host a small group of friends and family, giving them an opportunity to hear me share about Abby’s Garden.

Meanwhile, I am brainstorming new ways to raise funds for this important ministry!

Thank you for praying and giving!

With love,

Tonya
