Janzen Family Update Oct 2021

Update from the Janzen Family
Portugal

Wow… Where to start?! We are so thankful to be home.

Our trip through Mexico, the USA, and Canada was amazing, and it was such a blessing and encouragement to connect and spend time with so many of you! But let’s be honest, some of the travel was quite stressful, given the state of everything, and the ever-changing covid rules, etc. Through it all, however, the Lord led and provided all that we needed, and for this we are so very thankful!

After a brutal week of jet-lag, we have had a great week back of reconnecting with friends and teammates here in PT.

We were able to attend Surf church on Sunday, our first time in their new building, and it was such a joy to worship together with people from all around the world, gathered in the heart of Porto City. Amazing to hear how the lord is working there, and that they will be celebrating baptisms again this coming Sunday, praise God!

We met with church planter friends for sushi on the city steps, and got to hear more of how the Lord is leading their community to planting a church/cafe in a high density/low-income area of south Porto… So great to hear what the Lord has provided for them, and dream together of how we may be able to partner and help them move forward as well!

We had our Potential to Plant teammates over for dinner, and also met with House Church midweek, the small gospel community in our hometown of Vila do Conde. All so great!

We are excited to get back into things next week, and also nervously excited as we start formal language lessons next week as well!

Thanks to all who continue to pray, support and encourage our family in the work here… please do continue to pray re our language learning, for the boys as they look for work here, and for the ministries that we are involved in, that they would be fruitful and that we would love well all those we come in contact with here.

Blessings guys!! Love, Kevin, Angela, Kai & Beckham
