Dear Friends and Family,
Thanksgiving greetings! In Deuteronomy 8 we read a charge by Moses to the Israelites. Verses 10-14 seem particularly appropriate at Thanksgiving:
“When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today. For when you have become full and prosperous and have built fine homes to live in, and when your flocks and herds have become very large and your silver and gold have multiplied along with everything else, be careful! Do not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.”
Cultivating a lifestyle of thankfulness is an important admonition from these verses. We would like to again express our deepest gratitude to you for your faithful support of our family, as well as the equipping ministry of EE-Brasil, with your prayers and financial resources!! A few short months ago, EE-Brazil missionaries conducted both a workshop and a training clinic in the First Baptist Church of Pinheiros. A few weekends ago, they sent the following testimony: “More than 10 people heard the plan of salvation firsthand! There were conversions! There were requests for additional home visits where they will give us permission to share more about God! Glory be to God! All things are through Him, by Him and for Him!!!”

Our pastor preached on giving thanks this past Sunday. He concluded his sermon with a concept that has challenged our thinking this week: Thanks = Giving!
