Dear Friends and Family,
We trust that you enjoyed a very blessed Christmas, as did we! It was unseasonably cold but nevertheless a blessed Christmas celebration of Jesus’ birth. In contrast, we expect unseasonably warm temperatures for New Year’s Day! We want to wish you a very Happy New Year and pray that you will experience God’s very best during 2023!!
As we shared in our last update, EE-Brazil conducted 24 training events with 425 participants in 2022. This morning, working with our National Director, we began to complete a report on the last quarter of 2022 AND projections for 2023. We are planning for 36 workshops/clinics in 2023 with 612 participants!
Our team is again this year working on plans for a Zoom meeting of local EE church leaders across Brazil on January 31st. We are planning for testimonies, the introduction of updated follow-up materials for new believers, a motivational message from the President of our National Council, etc.. Please pray for our preparation and for good participation.
During these last few days of 2022, we look to the new year with expectation in seeing God’s people equipped to explain the Gospel and to train others to explain it, too. So, your continued financial support…investment in helping us to sow the Good News, as well as sowing a vision for evangelism training in 2023 remains essential!! Some important details about 2022 year-end giving follow:
- The donation system at Be One Together indicates that $7,775 has been received thus far this month for our support. “Thank You” to everyone who has already given! We are 78% of the way to the goal of $10,000 that we communicated to you earlier this month. Our December goal includes funds for our family support in the first quarter of the new year when giving will slow somewhat. In order to see the goal met, we are praying that several others will be giving in the remaining hours before year’s end this coming Saturday evening.
- Remember: we will receive 100% of what you give, as no administrative fees are assessed by Be One Together.
- Donate online up until 11:59 PM (EST), Saturday, December 31st. Website donations that are received/completed at midnight (EST) and after must, by determination of the IRS, be counted in 2023.
- Check donations mailed to Be One Together at the address below must be postmarked on or before 12/31/2022, also by determination of the IRS, to be counted in 2022 giving. In other words, the date of the postmark, not the date on the check, is what is used to determine a 2022 tax deductible gift.
- Secure online giving, using the Online Giving image/link below, is available to help you more easily meet the deadline by using a credit card. But, if you prefer the mail, there is still a day and a half to mail a check with a 2022 postmark. Post Offices close around midday on Saturdays. So, don’t wait until Saturday afternoon or evening to drop an envelope in the mail, and be sure to check the last pick-up time indicated for the box.
