The Biblical Baptist Church of Cartaxo is completing 5 years of existence and is beginning to take its first steps on its own. Five years may seem like a short time, but the dream and the struggle began much earlier. I am very thankful to God because, in the midst of losses and gains, the work has continued and continues on due to His infinite grace and power. As the song says, “God does everything very well in His time.”
Today is a special day! It marks the beginning of the school year and school Bible studies classes. We will have around 35 students, divided into 4 classes of different age groups. God has been opening the doors of the schools, but also providing good opportunities for us to reach the teachers and school staff. On the 7th, we held a small tribute for International Teacher’s Day. With the help of Youth for Christ, we visited three schools. It was an extremely tiring day with some difficult challenges. The work did not go as we would have liked. A true Divine spiritual battle awaited us. God’s command is for us to sow the seed, and this was done; making it sprout and generate life is Divine work.
