From Lauren: Hello! I was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, and grew up in the Fort Worth, Texas, area. I was married to my husband, Craig, for 33 years. He was a seminary student when we met and together raised 3 children while living in 5 different states. Craig was a minister and a school teacher. He passed away very suddenly this past June, marking a deeply significant and challenging chapter in my life. But God did graciously provide the gifts of hope and joy even in these difficult circumstances for my family and me.
I am a piano and voice teacher and I truly love sharing the gift of music with children. Teaching brings me great joy. I am also very involved in my church community where I sing in the choir and participate in a couple of book study groups. My favorite way to spend time is with my family —- especially my grandchildren. I have 5 and I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of my 6th at the end of June.
One Bible verse that has stayed close to my heart is Jeremiah 29:11-12: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”
Over the past year especially, I have seen again and again that the Lord is a gracious, loving Father who provides exactly what we need, in every circumstance.
